AcroPlot looks at the Windows System Registry to see if the user has AutoCAD Installed on the machine and will only count AutoCAD as being installed once the user has actually ran the specific version of AutoCAD.
So if you have installed AutoCAD after installing AcroPlot you may have to run the AcroPlot Admin to add the menus into the new version of AutoCAD.
1.) Log in as the user that you need to add the menus to AutoCAD and start the version of AutoCAD that the menus are missing from.
2.) Then close the AutoCAD version.
3.) Go to the Windows Start Menu and select the All Programs->AcroPlot->AcroPlot Admin.
4.) When the AcroPlot Admin starts make sure the checkbox is selected to add the menus into AutoCAD.
5.) Click on the Save and Exit button.
6.) Now restart the version of AutoCAD that the menus were missing from and the AcroPlot Menu or Ribbon Tab should be displayed.
Why are the AcroPlot Menus Still Missing?
There are a few reasons why the AcroPlot Menus may still be missing after trying the above.
1.) The AcroPlot Tab may have been hidden. Try right clicking on any of the Tabs and the select the Show Tabs and make sure the AcroPlot or AcroPlot PDF has a checkmark next to it.
2.) You are using an older version of AcroPlot which did not support your version yet. Each time Autodesk releases a new version of AutoCAD we must recompile AcroPlot to work with it. Autodesk has typically released AutoCAD around the end of March each year and usually they call it 2019 when released in 2018. If you are current on maintenance you will have to log into your account online to download the latest version of AcroPlot. If you are not current on your maintenance then you will have to purchase your yearly maintenance in order to download the latest version of AcroPlot.
3.) You are using AutoCAD LT. We cannot provide conversion directly through AutoCAD LT because Autodesk removes the programming interfaces from AutoCAD LT for 3rd Party Developers to interact with it. This is one of the reasons they sell AutoCAD LT for a lower prices. Please Click Here to learn more about our support for AutoCAD LT.
4.) If you are using the full AutoCAD and have the latest AcroPlot installed you can try running the AcroPlot Admin to remove the menus, run AutoCAD, then run the AcroPlot Admin again to add them back in to clean things up. The steps for this are listed below.
